Kate Arnold

Kate brings to thinkstep-anz 20+ years’ experience managing complex projects in the food, bioscience and arts sectors.

Before she joined us, Kate was Innovation Manager at Miraka, a Māori-owned, geothermal-powered dairy company. At Miraka Kate managed a portfolio of innovation, technical and strategic business projects.

Kate believes the best results come when our clients and our thinkstep-anz team combine their knowledge and talents. She uses design thinking and creative problem solving to source ideas collaboratively and scope projects. Then she brings to those projects best-practice project management techniques, including communication and stakeholder engagement, to turn those ideas into action. (That ‘must-have’ project management technique – juggling – features prominently in her toolkit too.)

Outside work, Kate enjoys adventures in the outdoors with her kayak or bike. She loves to plant things (trees, veggies, ideas…). Sustainability matters to her. Kate’s volunteer activities including mentoring university students interested in sustainability and supporting local food security and environmental projects. She is based in Taupō in Aotearoa New Zealand.
